Milli Jewel

I have been working with polymer clay for about 12 years and currently serve the Vice President of the Houston Polymer Clay Guild, in which I have been active for about 10 years.  My professional background is in Clinical Neuropsychology, but I have always had artistic hobbies.  However, when I discovered polymer clay, my artistic side blossomed.  As I developed my skills and became more proficient, I began to see myself as an artist rather than a hobbyist.  This thing that fascinates me the most about polymer clay is the remarkable versatility of the medium.  Regardless of how much experience one has with polymer clay, there is always more to learn and discover.  The scientist in me delights in the experimentation and problem solving involved with bringing together a creative vision and the artist in me thrills at the fact that there is always new to learn.
