Call for Entries: 2017 Houston’s Fall Tableware Show

This juried exhibition that will run the month of September 2017.
The exhibition will feature handmade items for the well-appointed dining table. This includes plates, chargers, bowls, candleholders, tureens, ladles, centerpieces, spoons, forks, knives, drinking vessels, etc.
Complete place settings are also welcomed and count as a single entry. 18+ and US resident only.

[cro_accordionitem title=”Eligibility and Media” item=”active” ] This exhibit is open to all 18+ and US resident artists in the United States. Work must have been completed within the past 18 months. All submitted entries must represent tableware, either functional or decorative. A maximum of 3 pieces per artist will be reviewed.

The exhibition will feature handmade items for the well-appointed dining table. This includes plates, chargers, bowls, candleholders, tureens, ladles, centerpieces, spoons, forks, knives, drinking vessels, etc. 

Complete place settings are also welcomed and count as a single entry.

Prizes

All accepted entries will compete for a “Best of Show” Award.  The winner will receive $200.00 (Two hundred dollars).  “Best of Show” will be announced during the Opening Reception

Visit Houston’s First Saturday Art Market on 19th Street on opening day, celebrate art in the Heights with artists, fun, food trucks and live music outside our doors. [/cro_accordionitem]

Digital Images
High quality JPEG images will be accepted for review. Please submit only JPEG format images, 180 – 300 DPI. TEAplusART has permission to use any digital images for publicity purposes.
All artists should submit an artist statement.
Insurance
TEAplusART will take great care in handling all work. The artist is responsible for insuring individual pieces.
Sales
All pieces accepted in the show must be for sale. The commission rate is 50%. All entries must quote retail price. Checks for work sold in September will be mailed on or before October 15th.
Rules
All works must remain at TEAplusART for the duration of the show.
TEAplusART reserves the right to photograph work for publicity purposes.
Shipping
Accepted work may be hand delivered (appointment required) or shipped (prepaid) to arrive between on or before August 26, 2017.  Deliveries should NOT be scheduled for Mondays or Tuesdays.  Insurance while in transit is the artist’s responsibility.  Unsold work will be shipped back at the artist’s expense.  Please include prepaid return forms or payment for return shipping with your work.  [Tea+Art] will not return work that does not include payment for return shipping.
Jurors
The Display Committee of TEAplusART will determine acceptance to the show.
